TALKING ABOUT BEGGING

For many years, senegalese capital and some of the other towns have revealed to us a strange phenomenon: begging!!

Begging is a réal face either of powerty or a type of frame of mind; a way of thinking in close relation with fatal illness, which needs à very deep reflexive attitude and drastic measures to eradicate the phenomenon.

Seriously I am very anxious about the growing phenomenon of begging.

Seriously I am very anxious about this graving social break with pour traditions.

Everyday more and more beggars are coming in large numbers from the others countries.

Everyday we are getting more and more accustomed to this bane

Are we allowed to leave on the fringes of our society, one part of our youth?

Are we allowed to close our doors and windows, everyday night, drop into hot blankets while entire families are out supporting cold, rain, and gusts of wind?

Are we allowed to let street give education and shelter to our children?

Are we allowed to behave badly towards our neighbours, just because they're poor, sad or lazy?

Are we aware of à kind of education they Will have?

Are we aware the fact that street's education has its own laws which are not necessarily the same of institutional codes?

Should we try something else in order to prevent this fact from becoming as important as it is now?

Where is our "Teranga" which we are si proud?

Could we give to all those families something différent which we can share, sing, dance or work together?

Is handicapped condition allows to become begger?

Beggars are lost their dignity.

All of us has the moral duty to take care of ou fathers, our mothers, our children, our neighbours.

Everyone is guilty either by holding out of coin just to get protection or chance, or preparing "lakh" for social promotion.

The Holy Scriptures tell us how we can act out of charity with dignity, but we don't respect anything.

Our West Africain countries are seriously drifting away from sea of moral code, away from developpement process.

Begging is sometimes taken as alibi for prostitution.

Begging is sometimes taken as occasion for renting children just to prove that they are more poor than they look like.

Beggars are here now, they are everywhere in our country. They Will bé here tomorrow, next year, next century if we should do nothing.

We should give them à chance to choose the best way of life (working) gently but firmly.

The state must be more responsible, we should change our habits and when we have something for needy, we must do effort to have respect towards everyone and go to religious institutional centers.

We Will learn to save dignity and live in greater brotherhood.

God bless everyone!!
